WALL STREET
Late gain ends volatile week for the stock market
The stock market had another tumultuous ride this week as disarray in Europe heightened fears of a global
economic slowdown. Despite a late-day comeback on Friday, major stock indexes are down about 10 percent
from the peak they reached in late April.
U.S. markets opened lower again on Friday, but a rally in financial shares helped stocks move higher. JPMorgan
Chase & Co. and Bank of America Corp. were the biggest gainers in the 30 stocks that make up the Dow Jones
industrial average. They and other financial shares rose after the Senate passed long-awaited financial reform
legislation, removing a significant overhang for U.S. banks.
In other signs that some investors were regaining an appetite for risk, the price of ultra-safe Treasury securities
edged lower after spiking on Thursday, the dollar edged lower, commodity prices stabilized and gold prices fell.
The Dow rose 125.38, or 1.3 percent, to 10,193.39. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 16.10, or
1.5 percent, to 1,087.69. The Nasdaq composite index rose 25.03, or 1.1 percent, to 2,229.04.
About three stocks rose for every one that fell on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume was
8.1 billion shares, versus 8.5 billion shares Thursday.
Oil prices fell around $70 a barrel, as investors remained wary that Europe's debt crisis and growing oil stockpiles
will cut demand for fuel.
Copper prices jumped the most in three months on speculation that demand will remain ample in China, the world’s
biggest metal user.
Gold for June delivery ended down $12.50 to $1,176.10 an ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile
Exchange. The gold price Friday has traded as high as $1,187.60 and as low as $1,166.
Palladium rebounded from the biggest two-day drop in 12 years as commodities climbed in tandem with equities.
Platinum also gained.

CHAIRMAN'S ADDRESS
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
At our last Annual General Meeting we had just passed through the low point for the Australian
Stock Market following the GFC. At that time I pointed out that it was important for us to face
the future with a confident outlook in the knowledge that all economic downturns, even the most
severe, come to an end. While the markets are still volatile, I believe the worst is behind us.
Improved stock market conditions enabled us to move forward and recapitalise ARX via a placement
and rights issue in October 2009. Those that participated in the rights issue had their confidence rewarded
with a material uplift in the share price in percentage terms. I would like to express my gratitude to
shareholders for this expression of confidence in our business plan going forward.
During the year we completed the transfer of Cibaliung to Antam and then focussed upon obtaining the
funds to go forward with our exploration program. We entered into an arrangement with our drilling contractor
Maxidrill which sees them take shares in ARX in return for the provision of drilling services at Trenggalek.
This sees us conserve cash and truly aligns the driller to the interests of our company.
We have a 5,000 metre drilling program underway at Trenggalek involving drilling in the order of 50 to 60 holes.
To date we have drilled around 2,000 metres and have obtained encouraging results with intercepts of up to
17 grams of gold. There is a long way to go in this program and we are hopeful of turning up a discovery of
significance, although it must be stressed that all exploration is inherently uncertain and there are no guarantees.
Nonetheless, Trenggalek covers around 300 square kilometres and within this area we have selected 6 sites at
which to drill, spread throughout the area.

Thailand Operations Update
Drilling operations
- The new drilling rig, introduced to the field in February
2010 to replace the two older rigs, is performing to
expectations on time and cost;
- The L44W-A15ST1 well looks particularly promising in that
it penetrated ~60 metres of volcanic reservoir, which is
significantly thicker than the ~23 metres encountered in
the central and western portion of the field;
- The next series of wells will target the Bo Rang “B”
reservoir which has a strong production history.
Production operations
- Current production is 6,500 bopd gross with two new wells
still “cleaning up” and a number of drilled wells awaiting
recompletion or deepening;
- Production from the new wells is averaging ~400 bopd per
well, in line with pre-production estimates;
- The Joint Venture is considering the introduction of a
second rig to accelerate development drilling and to
evaluate a number of exploration prospects.
Forward plan
- A further 18 wells are planned for the remainder of
calendar 2010, the majority of which will be production
wells;
- The Joint Venture remains focused on delivering its target
average of 9,000 bopd (gross) in calendar 2010;
- Carnarvon is confident all necessary steps are in place by
the Operator to achieve the above average production
target and to exit calendar 2010 with production levels
around 10,000 to 12,000 bopd (gross) - Web Site

Phoenix Update
Aeromagnetic Data Acquisition Complete
The planned acquisition of 15,856 km2
of aeromagnetic data, with
the main focus on Permits WA-436-P and WA-438-P
(Figure 1 below) has been completed. This data was acquired to
tie to the existing Barrow/Dampier dataset. The data acquired
will satisfy the aeromagnetic component of the Work Program
Commitments within WA-436-P and WA-438-P.
The technical rationale for acquiring the aeromagnetic data is to
gain a better understanding of the structural configuration of the
Bedout sub-basin in areas with sparse seismic control. The
aeromagnetic data will be used to target shallow leads in the
south of WA-438-P and also investigate the potentially fractured
basement within WA-436-P. - Web Site

IRON ROAD
Completion of Resource Expansion Drilling
Iron Road Limited (Iron Road, ASX: IRD, IRDO) is pleased to announce that the interim resource expansion drilling at the
Company’s wholly owned Central Eyre Iron Project is now complete. This drilling programme will be followed by
another programme that is currently with the Department of Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia (PIRSA)
for approval.
Highlights
- Completion of first drill programme for 2010, comprising 57 holes for 14,490m at the Boo-Loo and Dolphin prospects,
located within the Warramboo area.
- Programme has successfully defined the extent of this prospect within the Warramboo area and is expected to
significantly increase the existing JORC inferred mineral resource estimate report of 110Mt at Boo-Loo.
- Iron head grades and concentrate grades appear consistent with those attained previously during Stage II resource
drilling.
- Coffey Mining has completed structural analysis and correlation of the magnetite gneiss and commenced mineral
resource modelling. Completion expected during June 2010.
- Four large diameter drill holes for 1,310m are currently being drilled for metallurgical test work purposes as part of
the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS).
- Iron Road’s corporate objectives for 2010 include increasing the mineral resource across the Central Eyre Iron Project
to 500Mt, outlined at the Company’s 2009 Annual General Meeting. The project has an exploration target size defined
by Coffey Mining to be to be between 2.8-5.7 billion tonnes of magnetite gneiss. - Web Site

TASMAN RESOURCES
Vulcan Drilling Update
Tasman Resources Ltd (ASX: “TAS”) recently completed the first follow-up drill hole at its Vulcan IOCGU prospect, and provides the
following update:
...The first follow up drill hole, VUD 002 was drilled at -75 degrees towards the east, and collared at 693,865mE; 6,660,119mN
(GDA 94), close to the collar position of VUD 001, and has intersected the target zone a relatively short distance (approximately
190m) from the IOCGU intersection in VUD 001.
VUD 002 was completed at 1119.3m, after intersecting a very thick sequence (approximately 230m down-hole) of IOCGU-style
mineralisation and alteration. The mineralisation consists predominantly of disseminated and vein pyrite, chalcopyrite (copper iron
sulphide) and some molybdenite (molybdenum sulphide), and the alteration is dominated by hematite, sericite, carbonate and
tourmaline. Weak uranium mineralisation is also present. Photos of drill core from VUD 002 are presented below (Figures 2 and 3).
No assays are available at this stage, and are not expected for several weeks, but based on visual observation however are not
expected to be high grade. However the thickness of alteration and mineralisation is clearly stronger in VUD 002 than VUD 001,
suggesting that stronger mineralisation could occur further east, and the next hole, VUD 003 will test this concept.

HIGH GRADE NICKEL SULPHIDES INTERSECTED AT MT THIRSTY JV - Highlights:
- Reverse Circulation drilling at Mt Thirsty has returned positive results in the search for nickel sulphide mineralisation.
- RC Hole MTRC015 returned 6 metres @ 3.40% Nickel from 201 metres downhole including 2 metres @ 6.75% Nickel.
- RC drilling is ongoing with one further hole remaining in the current program. The Joint Venture parties are gearing up for an
expanded geophysical and drill program likely to commence in July. - Web Site

WALL STREET
Stocks plunge as investors worry about spread of European economic problems; Dow off 376
Stocks took their deepest plunge in more than a year Thursday as fears grew that Europe's debt crisis could spread around
the world and undermine the U.S. economic recovery.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 376 points, its biggest point drop since February 2009. All the major indexes were down well
over 3 percent and are now showing losses for 2010. Interest rates fell sharply in the Treasury market as investors once again
sought the safety of U.S. government debt.
The Chicago Board Options Exchange's Volatility Index -- known as the market's fear gauge -- leaped almost 30 percent to its
highest level since March 2009. The increase in the VIX signals that traders are bracing for more drops in the market.
At the New York Stock Exchange, only 153 stocks rose compared with 2,994 that fell. Volume came to a heavy 2.1 billion shares.
The number of people applying for unemployment benefits last week rose unexpectedly and the Greek government's response to its
debt crisis sparked new protests in Athens, but analysts said neither event appeared to set off Thursday's selling. They said more
investors seemed to be grasping the possibility that the U.S. recovery could be in jeopardy, and that many were realizing that the
stock market's big rebound since March 2009 may not have been justified.
Commodities prices fell as investors speculated that a weak world economy would curtail demand for raw materials. Crude oil fell
$1.86 to $68.91 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
July N.Y. copper closed down 150 points at 295.56 cents Thursday. However, in after-hours trading the copper market was sporting
good short-covering gains.
Comex gold futures closed weaker and hit a fresh two-week low Thursday. More profit-taking pressure from the shorter-term
traders was seen. Also, some long liquidation selling was featured, some of which was margin-call selling due to the downdraft in
many other markets. However, the gold market did move off the session low as traders stepped in to do some bargain-hunting
buying on the dip. June gold closed down $4.50 an ounce at $1,188.60.
Platinum and palladium were among the hardest hit commodities. July platinum tumbled $US109.90, or 6.8 per cent, to
$US1495.80 an ounce. June palladium plummeted $US50.75, or 11 per cent, to $US408.95.

BOW ENERGY (BOW)
Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting/Proxy Form
------
Second core hole in Norwich Park Block intersects over 77m of gassy coals
The Directors of Bow Energy Ltd (ASX:BOW) are pleased to provide a progress report on the drilling program currently underway in
the Norwich Park block (ATP 1031) located approximately 300 km north-west of Gladstone, Queensland.
The second well in its 100% owned Norwich Park block, VM-2, has intersected 77 metres of gassy coal to a depth of 806 metres
including 30.8 metres of coal from the Fort Cooper coal measures and 46.2 metres of coal from the Moranbah coal measures.
VM-2 is located 9 kilometres to the southeast of VM-1 which intersected over 52 metres of net gassy coal. Early gas desorption
results from both wells indicate the potential for very high gas contents and gas saturations including bright fractured coals suggesting
good permeability.
The impressive drilling results in the first two wells in the Norwich Park block combined with recent substantial GIP (gas in place)
external estimates of over 13.8 Tcf and currently certified reserves in Bow’s more advanced CSG fields, has further justified a
significant increase in gas reserves targets for 2010 and 2011, to more than 6,200 PJ of 3P and 1,250 PJ of 2P now being targeted
by the end of 2011. For the end of 2010, Bow has increased its 3P target to 4,128 PJ. - Web Site
CITIGOLD (CTO)
Citigold signs LOI with Henan Jinqu Gold
19 May 2010: Brisbane, Australia - Citigold Corporation Limited (Citigold) (ASX:CTO, FSE:CHP) advises that it has signed
a binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with Henan Jinqu Gold Company Limited (Jinqu), China. This LOI, signed in Sanmenxia City,
China, today is the next stage agreement following the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in Australia on 4 March
2010.
Highlights include:
LOI will be replaced by a comprehensive Joint Venture Agreement to be concluded and signed within 3 months.
LOI is subject to due diligence by both parties and FIRB approval.
The JV does not include the separate 100% owned Warrior mine and the existing 340,000 tonne capacity gold processing plant.
The joint venture development of the City should allow Citigold to accelerate work towards growing gold production from the
goldfield and increasing its overall gold reserves and resources.

WALL STREET
Stocks slump after investors focus on Europe woes
Another wave of selling hit stocks Wednesday in response to growing fears that Europe has no quick fix for its debt crisis.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell about 67 points after having been down as much as 186. It was the Dow's ninth drop in 12 days.
The latest worry came from Germany, where regulators banned naked short selling. Germany enacted the short-selling rule in
hopes of curtailing sudden swings in European debt markets, like the ones that crippled Greece's ability to borrow money after the
rates on its bonds shot higher earlier this year.
The extent of investors' worries became clear after the euro bounced off a four-year low but stocks still fell. The euro has been driving
stock trading for weeks.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index, widely considered one of the best measures of how the stock market is doing, neared a 10 percent
drop from the 2010 trading high it reached last month. That would mark the first time the market has had what's known as a
"correction" since it bounced off a 12-year low in March last year. Most analysts say a correction is a drop of at least 10 percent.
About four stocks fell for every one that rose on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 6.8 billion
shares, compared with 6.2 billion Tuesday.
Heavier profit-taking and downside corrective pressure hit Comex gold futures Wednesday as prices dropped below psychological
support at $1,200 an ounce. June gold closed down $21.50 an ounce at $1,193.10. Besides the profit taking from recent gains that
last week saw a new all-time record high scored in gold, traders were unnerved by news reports and some rumors regarding
the European Union, Germany and Greece.

TRUSCOTT MINING
Westminster Project Summary - Investor Briefing Notes
Truscott’s Westminster Project is located just west of the Tennant Creek Township in the centre of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field
(Figure 1). The project covers an area of 5.96 km2 which includes some of the earliest workings and discoveries in the field that date
from the mid 1930’s.
Truscott has been the first company to successfully consolidate a number of these historical mining leases along a line of strike.
The project covers more than 1.5km strike length of mineralised ironstone outcrop and sub-crop that host numerous historical
shallow high grade gold workings. The project site is ideally located close to all major service connections and within 500m of the
local airport.
Detailed structural analysis and three dimensional modelling of the lodes identified at Westminster (Figure 2) clearly indicate the
plunge direction of the gold and copper mineralisation. ....
The next round of drilling, scheduled for June 2010, will target extensions to Lode 4 and Lode 5. The drilling will aim to extend drill
coverage of Lode 4 to 250m in depth and confirm the predicted high grade ore.
Drilling will be completed as a combination of reverse circulation drilling with diamond tails to provide core samples of the ore zones
at depth. Additional drilling will also be completed near surface to confirm the location of Lode 1 and Lode 3. Deeper drilling will
follow in a subsequent program. - Web Site

Australian share market slumps to nine-month low
The share market closed at its lowest point in nine months as global turmoil again hit local stocks.
The negative sentiment has been replicated in foreign-currency markets, with the Australian dollar trading in a range of US85.13c to
US86.02c.
Fortescue Metals Group fell 19 cents, or 4.68 per cent, to $3.87, after it said two of its three expansion projects were being put on
hold and could be sold to overseas investors.
Fortescue cited the Federal Government's proposed tax on resources super profits for the move.

Bullabulling Gold Project Update
Auzex is pleased to advise that its Joint Venture partner, Central China Goldfields (CCG), has today transferred funds to Auzex
totalling $1.65 million to complete its acquisition of 50% interest in the Bullabulling Gold Project (Project) in the Eastern Goldfields of
Western Australia.
The transfer follows signing of the Sale and Purchase Deed between Auzex and CCG and Jervois Mining Ltd and its wholly owned
subsidiary (Goldpride Pty Ltd) on 22 April 2010 to acquire all the rights, title and interest in the Project.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary conditions precedent including ministerial approvals and replacement of the
security bonds, most of which are expected to be satisfied before the end of June 2010.
A consultant’s report on the structural controls and resource potential within the project area is being finalised and is expected to be
made available next week. Seven diamond drill holes (totalling 1,432m) have been planned from the results of this study to
intersect mineralisation extending from Bacchus South pit to Phoenix pit (and at depth outside the current known resource), a distance
of approximately 2.5 kilometres. All drillholes have the potential to intersect significant mineralisation and provide important geological
information. - Web Site

Emergent’s capital raising, which the Emergent Board are confident of achieving in the time required.
Upon completion De Grey will be very well funded to explore current projects and to target new project opportunities, with over $7
million cash. - Web Site

IRON ROAD
Gawler Iron Project Award of PACE Grant to Support Exploration
Iron Road Limited (Iron Road, ASX:IRD, IRDO) is pleased to announce that the South Australian Government has awarded the
Company a PACE grant for diamond drilling at the Gawler Iron Project.
Funding to the level of A$60,000 has been approved as part of the South Australian Government’s Plan for Accelerating Exploration
(PACE) initiative under Theme 2 – Drilling Collaboration between PIRSA and Industry. Only 23 projects from 63 proposals were
successful.
Iron Road is currently testing several iron ore targets during the Stage I RC drilling at the Gawler Iron Project approximately 25km
north of the Trans Australian Railway. This area has not been systematically explored for iron ore despite reconnaissance drilling
of surface outcrops by the South Australian government in the 1960’s that identified several BIF-hosted iron deposits.
The proposed diamond drilling programme planned as part of Stage II drilling, supported by the approved PACE funding, will test
coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies potentially associated with recessive zones of iron enrichment. An exploration model
similar to the style of mineralisation found at the Archaen K Deposit at Kollyanobbing has been proposed. Confirmation of this model
would present a new style of iron mineralisation in South Australia that may have economic benefits. - Web Site

New Massive Sulphide Discovery in Sweden
Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX: GMR, Golden Rim) today announced early success with the first hole drilled into the Holtäkt
Prospect (Holtäkt) at the Falun Project in central Sweden.
The first drilling result from Holtäkt intercepted broad zones of semi-massive to massive sulphides with copper mineralisation.
A drilling program commenced on 29 March 2010 at the Falun Project (Figure 1), part of the Bergslagen Joint Venture. During the
March 2010 quarter, Royal Falcon Mining LLC (Golden Rim’s Abu Dhabi alliance company) approved the financing of US$2 million
for the Bergslagen Joint Venture’s second work program.
Holtäkt sits within the Rogsån Permit, a volcanic belt located approximately 7km north of the historic Falun copper-zinc-gold
mine. - Web Site

SUCCESSFUL SCOPING STUDY COMPLETED FOR
THE MECSEK HILLS GAS (UCG) PROJECT
Highlights
- Successful Scoping Study on the Mecsek Hills Gas UCG Project (‘the Project’) completed by Uhde Shedden, part of the
large international engineering firm ThyssenKrupp Technologies
- Scoping Study demonstrates that robust financial returns could be achievable from the supply of UCG syngas as a gas
feedstock for power stations and for conversion into Synthetic Natural Gas (‘SNG’)
- Scoping Study highlights Hungary and its neighbouring countries’ heavy reliance upon Russian gas imports resulting in
significantly higher gas prices than those in other markets (e.g. Australia) – long term price forecasts indicate this to
continue
- Scoping Study confirms that the Project’s close proximity to key infrastructure, such as the international pipeline network,
provides an opportunity to access strategic Central European gas markets
- Potential returns demonstrated in the Study are extremely attractive – provides compelling evidence for the immediate
commencement of pre‐feasibility study (‘PFS’) work programs - Web Site

Stock slide after euro falls to new four-year low; Germany plan to limit trading hits currency
Investors uneasy about the news coming out of Europe Tuesday went back to selling stocks sharply lower. The falling euro and
news that German regulators plan to limit some kinds of short selling fed the drop.
The Dow Jones industrial average closed down almost 115 points after giving up an early gain of 93. The Dow and broader indexes
lost more than 1 percent.
More than three stocks fell for every one that rose on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 6.2 billion
shares, compared with 5.9 billion Monday.
The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies fell 12.96, or 1.9 percent, to 682.75.
Oil prices slipped to a new 7-month low Tuesday as the US dollar neared a new four-year high against the euro.
Comex gold futures closed lower and nearer the session low Tuesday, on profit-taking pressure from recent gains. June gold
closed down $13.50 an ounce at $1,214.60.

CASTLE MINERALS (CDT)
Drilling Commences at Kandia Gold Prospect
Castle Minerals Limited (ASX:CDT) is pleased to announce that a reverse circulation drilling program has commenced at the
Kandia gold prospect in north west Ghana. This first ever drilling is being targeted at the three areas of recently discovered
artisanal gold workings. Thirty holes are planned for approximately 2,500m of drilling, testing for gold mineralisation to about 100m
below surface.
The Kandia prospect was discovered in April during reconnaissance field mapping. During this program a large area of previously
unknown artisanal gold workings was discovered that comprise three main groups developed over approximately 600m of strike.
Subsequent rock chip sampling reported visible gold and strong gold results up to 16g/t gold confirming the Kandia gold workings
as a high priority exploration target (CDT:ASX release 6th May 2010). The rock chip sampling suggests that the metasedimentary
unit at Kandia is capable of hosting medium to high grade gold mineralisation and offers a bulk tonnage exploration target
more typical of the Birimian aged sedimentary hosted gold deposits seen in Ghana and West Africa. - Web Site

GIPPSLAND LIMITED
Eritrean Exploration Results
Gippsland Limited is pleased to announce the preliminary results of an exploration programme completed on its Adobha Project in
Eritrea during May 2010. The work followed up some very encouraging results obtained from a reconnaissance drainage
geochemical survey of Thematic Mapper ("TM") anomalies, completed during late October to early November 2009, which yielded
anomalous gold and base metal values from three target areas (E14, E21 & E26).
During May 2010 each of the above anomalies was assessed in the field with additional drainage samples collected, geological
profiles made and rock-chip sampling of areas of interest.
Visible copper in the form of malachite (copper carbonate) was located in rocks in the drainage channels in target areas E21 & E26
and followed to the source where malachite was located in the bedrock. - Web Site

First Two Holes At Allana's Ethiopian Potash Project Confirm The Presence Of Potash Beds Close To Surface-Positive: The
Company announced that two holes have been completed at the north end of the Musley Deposit. Both intersected potash horizons.
The first hole intersected potash salts from 155 metres to 160 metres. Hole 2 intersected two potash zones, one at 15-20 metres
and the other at 86-106 metres. The shallow zone was an unexpected surprise and the deeper zone was shallower than expected.
Essentially the drilling has confirmed and exceeded previous drilling results. Assay results are expected in two to three weeks time.
This a positive first step in Allana‘s drilling results. - Web Site

LEE COUNTY PROJECT - VICK # 2 PRODUCING AT 500 BOPD
Buccaneer Energy Limited (“Buccaneer” or “the Company”) is pleased to provide the following operational update.
VICK # 2
The Vick # 2 well reached Total Depth of 6030 feet at approximately 7.00pm Friday 14 May 2010 EST. Electric-line logs were then
run and on completion of the logging run, wellbore fluids began flowing from the well unexpectedly.
The well was shut-in for approximately 12 hours and a wellbore pressure build-up was observed and analysed. Based on these
observations and the significant shows during the previous drilling operations, special equipment was obtained to flow test the well.
At the time of this report the flow testing has resulted in a producing rate of approximately 500 BOPD. No water has been produced
and minimal amount of gas has been produced. Flow testing is continuing at this time and as of noon CST the well had produced
approximately 430 BO. A buyer is currently being arranged to purchase this oil.
Initial production levels from this well exceed the Company’s expectations, especially since this is production from the vertical
penetration of the Austin Chalk only - the horizontal component of the well has not yet commenced. - Web Site

Beach is pleased to report that the Santos operated Genoa-3 well spudded on 18 May 2010. This well represents the resumption of
drilling in the Cooper Basin after an extended period of disruption due to widespread inland flooding. With flood waters now receding
from eastern parts of the Cooper Basin, Beach expects that drilling operations will gradually return to normal over the next few
weeks and that all three of the Santos contracted rigs in the Basin will be back in operation prior to the end of June.
Genoa-3 (Beach 30%), is being drilled as an oil development well within Queensland permit PL 68.

Salamander-1 Clean-up Flow Tests to Continue
Panax Geothermal Ltd (“Panax”) advises that clean-up flow tests at Salamander-1 are continuing intermittently. Preliminary results
of downhole logging during well flow have indicated that flow rates to date may be negatively affected by “filter cake”, being
remnants of drill mud partially blocking off the connection between the reservoir zones and the well bore.
The filter cake was designed to be removed as part of the well bore clean-up before rig release. We now have been advised to
repeat this treatment, i.e. using a weak acid (15% acetic = vinegar) to dissolve any remnant calcium carbonate, a component of the
drilling mud.
The recently observed sudden increase in the bottom hole temperature of Salamander-1, from 156°C to 171.4°C during “surging” of
the well, is likely to be an example of a sudden local breakthrough between reservoir rocks and the well bore near the bottom of the
well.
This repeat well bore clean-up programme is scheduled to commence later this month and will not delay the well productivity tests,
scheduled for June, 2010. - Web Site

WALL STREET
Dow recovers from 184-point drop to edge higher
Stocks had another wild day, but there was no big event, no surprise announcement behind the swings.
All that happened was that the euro, battered to a four-year low Monday before trading began in the U.S., started rising again.
And the stock market followed the currency shared by 16 European nations.
Shortly after noon Eastern time, the Dow Jones industrials were down 184 points. It looked like they would add to the pile of
triple-digit losses they've suffered over the past two weeks as investors worried that Europe's economic problems would spread to the
U.S.
But the euro, which seesawed after earlier falling to $1.2237, finally started its move higher -- a bumpy move, but an upward one
nonetheless. The Dow also racheted higher, finally ending with an almost six-point advance.
Three stocks fell for every two that rose on the New York Stock Exchange, where volume came to 1.4 billion shares, compared with 1.5
billion Friday.
Other investments seen as risky had a rough time Monday. Oil traded below $70 a barrel for the first time since February but
finished above that psychological benchmark.
Commodities fell to a seven-month low, led by industrial metals and energy, on speculation that efforts in Europe to curb government
debt will erode economic growth.
Copper plunged the most in 15 months and crude oil fell to the lowest price since December.
Comex gold futures closed near unchanged on Monday after trading on both sides of unchanged during the session. The gold market
was supported on continued safe-haven buying moves by investors worldwide. However, profit-taking pressure from recent gains
limited the upside Monday.
In China, the benchmark index in Shanghai fell 5.1 percent to a one-year low on concern that the government will curb lending to
slow the economy. There also was concern about the problems in Europe.

Australian stock market slumps 3% - the All Ordinaries fell 3.06% to 4500.7.
Australian stocks slumped beyond a seven-month low today, falling more than 3 per cent as a horror lead from offshore markets that
came on the back of Europe debt concerns saw investors dump local stocks.
The fear tore through the Asian region, with stock markets in Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong and India all down after
Wall Street’s Dow Jones Industrial Average and European markets sank on Friday.
BHP Billiton fell $1.75, or 4.53%, to close the day at $36.89,

Best Tasmania Reef gold intersection since 1983
BCD Resources today released an update on underground drilling at the Tasmania Mine. The main points in the release are: -
- Drillhole J26 intersects 46.7 g/t gold over 11.4m, including 115.7 g/t over 2.7m.
- New zone of thick, high grade reef close to existing development is confirmed and extended.
- Existence of new high grade zone was initially suggested by drillholes J23 (14.4 g/t gold over 12.5m) and J17 (8.8 g/t over 24.3m),
both announced in April.
This exciting, thick, bonanza-grade intersection is the best obtained from the main Tasmania Reef since 1983 and demonstrates the
very real potential for substantial high grade resource growth.
The new high grade zone defined by drillholes J17, J23 and J26 is now emerging as a very significant, near-term source of low cost
gold production. I expect it to add materially to the Tasmania Mine’s JORC Reserves which were calculated at 285,000 ounces in
December 2009. - Web Site

Drilling for Zircon Initiated on Barton Project
Bemax Resources Limited have initiated a 3,000 metre air core drill program on the Barton joint venture project targeting zircon-rich
heavy mineral sand deposits along the eastern margin of the highly prospective Eucla Basin, South Australia.
Airborne electromagnetic surveying has been successfully utilised to map and target potential headland features prospective for heavy
mineral sand deposits. This is a similar target setting to the world class Jacinth and Ambrosia deposits being brought into production
by Iluka Resources Limited in 2010.
Under the joint venture agreement Bemax have the exclusive right to explore for heavy minera l sands and earn 51% of the
tenements by spending $2,500,000 on exploration over six years. Once Bemax has earned 51%, Red Metal can elect to
contribute to further exploration and development at a 49% interest or dilute to a 25% interest free-carried to a decision to mine. - Web Site

European Nickel Release re Forestry Permit
Çaldağ Forestry Permit needs to be re-issued under new Mining Law 14 May 2010 – London: European Nickel PLC (“European Nickel”
or the “Company”) (AIM, PLUS: ENK) has become aware that the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry (the “Ministry”) will
be required to revoke the forestry permits for the Çaldağ project and that these permits will need to be re-issued under the terms of a
new Mining Law.
Due to a technical legal conflict under the current legislation between the Forestry Law and the mining regulations, the procedure
for the issuance of new forestry permits to mining companies in Turkey since 11 June 2009 has been deemed unconstitutional.
The Company’s three forestry permits were approved by the Ministry on 3 April 2009. - Web Site

Chinese Government Approves $23.8M Cornerstone Investment in Mungana Goldmines IPO
Strong Project Economics Outweigh Potential Impact of Resource Tax
Kagara is pleased to advise that the Chinese Government has approved a $23.8 million cornerstone investment by Guangdong
Foreign Trade Group (GFTG) in the Mungana Goldmines IPO, highlighting the potential of the Mungana and Red Dome gold
deposits despite the impact of the proposed Federal Government’s Resources “Super Profits” tax.
GFTG has committed to taking a 16% interest in the new Company, which is currently raising $76 million in a float that will give
Mungana Goldmines a market capitalisation of $150 million.- Web Site
